Foundry Adult Hockey Presents: Foundry National Challenge

PITTSBURGH, PA — Foundry Adult Hockey has officially announced the launch of the Foundry National Challenge, a new elite adult hockey event set to take place May 15–17, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The inaugural tournament will bring together high-level junior, collegiate, and post-graduate players from across the country to compete for $34,000 in prize money in a results-driven championship format.
Branded under the tagline Play. Win. Get Paid., the Foundry Adult Hockey National Challenge introduces a new competitive model to the adult hockey space, prioritizing performance, intensity, and meaningful stakes.
The event will be hosted across three Pittsburgh-area facilities: Palmer Imaging Arena, Printscape Arena, and Pittsburgh Ice Arena.
Best of the Best
The Foundry National Challenge Elite A Division is designed for players 18 and older who are competing at an elite amateur level. The division is open to players who have not played three or more professional games in the SPHL, ECHL, AHL, NHL, or European professional equivalents, ensuring legitimate high-level competition while protecting amateur and NCAA eligibility.
Teams are required to submit full rosters prior to the event. All players must present government-issued identification at check-in and may be verified at any time during the tournament.

Teams must be prepared to play as early as 7:00 a.m. on Friday
Championship play concludes by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday - Eligibility: Open to all non-professional hockey players aged 18 and over
Players must be 18 by May 14, 2026 - Entry Fee: $2,000 per team

Prize Money
Teams will compete in a bracket-style championship format with prize money awarded based on results:
- Champion: $25,000
- Finalist: $5,000
- Semifinalists: $2,000 each
